Wildrest Lodge | Return to Wild, Wake Rested

Loved the cleanliness and attractive decor. Really appreciated the history of the place. An old stone building built in 1947 off the oldest residential street in Waynesville. Cool way to preserve the past. The place was much bigger than expected. Great for 4 people. Clean and uncluttered. The kitchen is well stocked. Well equipped for cooking. Would stay again.

My significant other and I chose Wildrest for our four year anniversary and we cannot wait to go back again! Extremely peaceful and beautiful place nestled into a small mountain town with so many wonderful things to offer.

This place is adorable. after learning the owners just bought it and are working on it, I can’t wait to see what it becomes. Perfect home base for the Art Loeb trail, super quiet, super clean (I walked barefoot in the room), and the original and vintage touches make it stand out. I look forward to coming back!

We enjoyed our stay! The cabin is rustic and definitely has the all wood, old school vibes. The beds were very comfortable. There is a porch where we enjoyed morning coffee. Thanks for a great stay!

Wildrest exceeded my expectations. My room was spacious and felt like home. My king size bed was comfortable and I love white sheets. The air conditioner kept the room at a very nice temperature. I love the small touches such as the two packs of gummy’s. The water bottles left my host helped enormously. I like that there was soap, shampoo, and conditioner, and body wash in the shower. The bathroom was spotless. The tub was luxurious to take a bath in and soak. I also loved the black washcloth that had stitched on it for make up. I generally bring one of these washcloth for the removal of my face paint. I ended up using theirs. It was nice to be able to use the last four of my phone number to get into the room and not have to remember some of your number. The area was well lit since I came back to my room late at night. I could see exactly where I was going and everything around me. It was nice to have the microwave, even though I didn’t use it. I did enjoy having the mini fridge.

Wow! The Wildrest was amazing. Very close to all the cool spots in Waynesville. Host Stacy was superhelp with a small glitch in the door code and got it resolved quickly. We would definitely come back!

Beautiful tree house like rooms. Large, clean and remodeled. We were traveling with a toddler and everything was peaceful! Two minute drive to downtown Main Street. Very walkable to Frog Level and Msin Street.

I absolutely love staying here! It’s conveniently located near everything, yet it feels like a peaceful retreat tucked away in the woods. The rooms are always clean, cozy, and inviting. It’s my go-to spot whenever I’m in the area.

Wildrest was an amazing experience! after a 400 mile motorcycle ride, it was just what I needed. At check in, through no fault of Wildrest, I experienced an issue with my accommodations. Within 5 minutes of sending them a message, Owen contacted me and immediately resolved my issue. He was professional, courteous, and proactive with a solution. Also, Stacy was on site to make sure everything was taken care of. I couldn't have been happier with my stay. Even though it was only a half mile to downtown, you felt secluded and relaxed in the wooded surroundings. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and well stocked! After such a positive experience, I'll definitely be back, hopefully sooner than later. Don't miss a chance to experience this property, especially with the great job the new owners are doing!

Great spot, planning on returning when i have more than 1 night in the area with my friends. host was responsive and allowed us to flex out check out time after having a late last night on tour. 5/5 would recommend !
