Got very lucky with weather. Had an unusually cool open window day in early September and also the evening temps were brisk so the mountain air smelled so good! Great spot and a long time traveler to the area where I usually stay in a stuffy name brand hotel. This was such a refreshing change. Room was ready and spotless when I arrived.

This place is a hidden gem . We stayed in the back cabin very close to town and very welcoming. This place is quiet and in a great location . This was our second year staying here so they are definitely do it right .

Extremely quiet and peaceful rooms in the woods. A groundhog waddled to her burrow outside my window and a fox trotted up the drive. Literally minutes from all that Waynesville offers & the highway, yet completely private. Under new owners this beautiful lodge is being tastefully updated while retaining its rustic character. The stairways could be a problem for some. The king foam mattress is medium firm (I would prefer pillow top). The little freezer and fridge is quiet and microwave works. The friendly cleaner Stacy was very helpful in providing a few extras like a rubber bath mat, showed me the dishes under the sink, and made good suggestions. My friends who live there are impressed and will recommend it to their out of town visitors. It is the best place I’ve stayed on a long summer journey. I highly recommend and will return next year!

The hotel is on a beautiful wooded hilltop. The area is extremely quiet. We had a very good stay and enjoyed the covered porch. This the ideal location for a quite get away if you are a non smoker. Unfortunately, this property has no accommodations for smokers. I didn’t realize until too late to cancel. My poor husband had to take an umbrella and walk 50 feet from premises to smoke.

Definitely will be back. Owen was so great to work with and had some great recommendations for a coffee house. Our room was very clean and so comfortable. The bed is very comfortable. We needed some extra linens and within the hour someone brought us more. Very private but close to town and restaurants. We enjoyed sitting outside at night. Very quiet and peaceful. 5 star for sure. Thank you Owen for the best weekend. We will be back!!!!

Wonderful place to stay! We spent the night before hiking in Smoky Mtns Natl Park, and felt so well rested after our stay here. Rustic and cute decor, very clean room and clear instructions from host. Town of Waynesville also had great spots for dinner, and coffee in the morning before driving the parkway, super close to the Airbnb, very convenient.

Wildcrest has great accommodation to meet the needs of small and large groups. The settings is in a lovely country town with restaurants and coffee shops. Close to the Blue Ridge parkway too. It’s a comfortable and clean place to stay while visiting a great area. Thanks for being great hosts!

Just a few minutes outside the Waynesville downtown, this lovely little cabin was nestled right in the forest. From birds squawking in the trees outside our window to acorns dropping, the woods surround you. But the place inside is cozy and relaxing, nice chairs outside to sit and relax, maybe chat up a neighbor. Rare mix of rustic and modern amenities. We will be back!

We booked the lodge for a family trip. The lodge is spacious and clean. We enjoyed the many gathering spots both inside and out. The lodge has rustic charm and lots of room for family relax. The modern kitchen and outdoor fire pit were great!
